Thank you for the discussion so far, and for the announcement on the MVC retirement.
I have a question regarding the end-of-life (EOL) schedule for the Laminas MVC package:
According to the blog announcement, Laminas MVC will be put into a security-only maintenance mode until PHP 8.5 is released (likely around November 2025), and after that it will be considered abandoned on Packagist. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
However, I could not find a clear calendar date for when security support will end and when the package will be removed or marked as EOL.
Could someone from the TSC or maintainers clarify:
- Is there a specific date planned for the end of MVC maintenance (security fixes)?
- Will the EOL be tied to PHP 8.5 reaching its own EOL, rather than a fixed date?
- Will there be an official announcement or document once a final EOL schedule is decided?
Knowing this would greatly help with planning migration timelines for existing applications.
Thank you!
